Projects

DHI invests 25% of our human resources in research and development. Research projects are carried out in collaboration with industry partners, universities in Denmark and abroad, and national authorities. Below a small preview of some of our research partnerships.

Food for health
Since 2008 we have participated in a food-pharma network for exchange of knowledge across academia and industry in order to establish strong research collaborations. The network arranges seminars on food, bioactive compounds in foods, and individual health and nutrition. Read more here.

Other research projects include:

  • Improved health in Danish child care centres: a current four-year research project to increase health in nurseries. The aim is to reduce the number of sick days among children and staff by finding new ways to break the routes of infections with effective cleaning methods.
  • CHIP (Chicken and Hen Infection Protection): Reduction of infections in poultry production to improve animal welfare and profits.
  • REACH in a downstream perspective: a research project carried out during 2003-2009 for three Danish industry associations.
